“Garelochhead” by James Wright
This oil painting of the village as it was almost 100 years ago by James Wright (1885–1947) was acquired by the Anderson Trust in 2009. The artist, who lived for a time in Garelochhead, was a friend of the well known artist, James Kay (1858–1942) who designed the house Crimea on a hill at Whistlefield, overlooking Loch Long.
