Sailors from the United States submarine Hammerhead, which was visiting the Clyde Submarine Base at Faslane, are pictured at the British Sailors Society childrens home at Lagarie House, Rhu, in October 1969. Opened in 1949 it was closed in 1982 and later converted into flats.
