Deborah Kerr and Peter Viertel

Helensburgh film star Deborah Kerr with her second husband, the German-born, Californian-educated author and screenwriter Peter Viertel, photographed in their home in Klosters, Switzerland, in September 1964 four years after their marriage. She died in England on October 16 2007, and he died 19 days later on November 4 in Marbella, Spain, where they had a second home.
