Second clubhouse1283 viewsHelensburgh Golf Club's 'Tin Hut' clubhouse in its second position. The original clubhouse was built in 1894 just to the west of the Old Luss Road, but it was upgraded and moved in 1900 close to the West Highland Railway Line at East Abercromby Street. In 1909 it was acquired by Vale of Leven Golf Club and in that year the present clubhouse was opened.

Best remembered as the little tartan comic with the twisted walking stick, Sir Harry (August 4 1870—February 26 1950) was described by Sir Winston Churchill as "Scotland's greatest ever ambassador”.

In the background is a steamer at the now demolished Arrochar Pier, and the summit of the Cobbler mountain.
