Standing from left: George Loban, Hermitage janitor Tom Dunlop, railway official George Hastings and Henry Taylor, the West Clyde Street chemist; seated: school attendance officer Hugh Clark, Sergeant William McGillivray and coal merchant Robin Spy. The Sergeant came to Helensburgh in 1938 and served in the town until 1945. He later lived in Motherwell and Stirling, then Dunblane where he became deputy custodian of Dunblane Cathedral.Dec 27, 2011

On another occasion she presented the Union Flag to the 1st Cove and Kilcreggan Guides, and it is the oldest in the County of Dunbartonshire and still used in parades.
