Heritage Walk at Glenarn

E-mail Print PDF

Mike-Thornley-wA HERITAGE walk was held at Glenarn, Rhu, on Sunday April 29.

Mike Thornley of Glenarn said: "The walk, hopefully, brought to life the history of the garden, Andrew MacGeorge the first owner, and the Gibson family who created the west coast garden on top of the earlier layout.

"We looked at the Victorian structures and features — for instance the quarry, well, carriage house and the main house itself, and also explored how the garden developed and changed horticulturally."
