malcolm-baird-w-cutoutHELENSBURGH Heritage Trust president Professor Malcolm Baird could be heard on BBC Radio Scotland on Sunday October 18.

The previous week Malcolm, son of TV inventor John Logie Baird, was interviewed by writer and broadcaster Richard Holloway, the former Episcopal Bishop of Edinburgh, for the weekly programme "Sunday Morning with . . ."

Malcolm said: "The main theme was the influence of religion on my father in his early days in Helensburgh, along the lines of Jackie Macadam's article in this month's issue of Life and Work.

"My thanks are due to the CBC studio here in Hamilton, Ontario, for providing a link with the BBC studio in Edinburgh."

The broadcast can be heard on the BBC radio iplayer.

Permission has been given for the Life and Work article to be published on this website, and it can be found in the John Logie Baird section.
