Kilmahew estateA WALK with heritage interest took place in Cardross on Sunday May 11, and several Heritage Trust members were present.

The informal walk was organised at Kilmahew by the local landscape group who form part of the Invisible College team.

One of the group members, Alan Grey, undertook a plant survey last year and he led the walk through the estate talking about his findings. His report was distributed to participants.

Tahira Nasim of the team said afterwards: "It was good to see a few extra faces from Helensburgh who mentioned hearing of the walk through the Trust.

"It turned out we got the worst of the showers, but in a strange way it was experiencing the landscape in a way you wouldn't perhaps necessarily choose. Being taken out of the comfort zone is only ever a good thing in my opinion!"
