Professor DanielsA PUBLIC talk hosted by the Invisible College project, which is working on improving the St Peter's College and Kilmahew area of Cardross, to be staged in the village this week has been postponed.

As part of the project's ongoing programme of activities, Professor Stephen Daniels of the University of Nottingham was to give a talk entitled 'Art of the Garden — Staging the Landscape' in Cardross Golf Club on Wednesday June 26 from 6-30-8pm. The new date is Wednesday September 18.

Helensburgh Heritage Trust members will be welcome to attend.

Professor Daniels is the author of 'Humphry Repton: Landscape Gardening and the Geography of Georgian England' (Yale University Press).

The Invisible College, an Arts and Humanities Research Council-funded partnership programme, is a research project between Glasgow-based arts charity NVA and the universities of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Strathclyde, inspired by 17th century natural philosopher and scientist Robert Boyle’s concept of the same name, which described a group of intellectuals dedicated to furthering knowledge through experimental investigation.
